Demion: The Anti-Christ

Ah so to celebrate the birth of Christ, I give you the Anti-Christ

Demion was made out of a few highschool steamed emotions and influences. Everyone in Highschool should have been introduced to Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and I was made fully aware of the comics because of Jhonen V's cartoon that just premiered in 2001, Invader Zim. While the show was short lived I was able to understand the direction of his meanings and reasoning for creating such an evil and sick comic series: He wanted to do it, he's got a wicked scene of humor, and if an artist doesn't draw out the terrible feelings they have inside, it's a good chance that the artist would act out those feelings on real people, and that would be worse then the act of drawing a fiction character doing it.

I've never really come out about this but it was the 1st time I developed a crush on real human being. While my friends oogled over Justin Timberlake and all the teen heartthrobs, I'm geeking out with the nerd boys about Sonic and Pokemon or other things. I really wanted to get my friends into the things I liked but I could never connect with them over the things I enjoyed, thus I ended up the fat nerdy one out of the loop (really not sure why I stuck with those friends as long as I did because they weren't really great friends...more like people that I thought I could relate with). This boy however was one of those guys who could take you down the path of evil with him if you let him, I'm sure I'd be in a ditch now if I tried to go out with him. He was a senior when I was a sophomore, and we sat together in math class (probably because his name was the male version of my name, meaning it was a cruel joke the teacher wanted to pull). I was behind in math, and so was he by 2 years, plus he comes to me one day asking if he smelled like pot. I just replied saying that I smelled something funny, to which he explained that he tried to mask it with some pineapple perfume. He introduced me to Gear, Doug Tennapel's comic, and I talked to him about JtHM, and it was a nice little thing I developed. Then one day he didn't show up, think he had been expelled or something and I didn't see him until he showed up briefly one day and just gave me a 'wut-up' head bob, with a wink...I was stalking him that day to. Haven't seen him since and he's still cute in my memories.

Demion's true origin came from a free form sketch I did when listening to a Russian Orchestral piece of classical music on the radio. I got out a piece of paper and started drawing characters based on the mood this music was giving me. The characters came out as vampire lovers (Demion was bald in my head) but when the music was over I worked with the character designs more. Music has ALWAYS inspired me but something really pushed my mind in the right direction that night. Once I get a good character design going I can created their origin. Demion was given a kilt, because the 1st sketch of him had a weird pant idea and weeks prior a kid at school started wearing kilts. Maid was and still is an odd character. I've never really drawn much of her since but I'll go over her story soon enough. What she is though is a Zombie Maid with robotic parts. All that's left of her is her chest and head, the rest of her is put together with odd robotic parts Demion put on her to give her mobility.

Demion's story goes likes this: His mother is a half white and half Navajo woman living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His father was obviously the devil who suduced his mother while she was on a boat cruise. Demion was a back up Anti-Christ in case the true Anti-Christ were to fail. While doing research on the Book of Revelations I discovered that all books say something different every time I read it, but from what I gathered Demion is the false Prophet, preaching lies and speaking ill of God, while Nero, Demion's half brother, is the lion headed beast with 7 horns. Demion's logic is that you must do the opposite of anything God says you should do. If God says drowning and raping babies are good then Demion would say it's a bad thing to do. If God says to throw stones at black people, then Demion says it's a NOT to throw stones. Demion also has the power to manipulate people's minds, to make them think they're doing good or to get them to do his evil doings. He can make police shoot someone out of fear and ignorance, or get someone to take drugs because he'll lie. Problem is that Demion doesn't know he's being evil, thus making it hard to blame him entirely. He's unaware about who he is (even if he looks pretty demonic) and can be filled with guilt and sorrow for the suffering of others.

Demion's mother had an interesting story when I 1st came up with her. She lost Demion because she got her long blond hair caught in a freezer and she couldn't pull her head out without ripping off her scalp. I've thrown that idea out in the garbage because it's kinda stupid. NOW she was put in a deep coma and because Demion wasn't able to be taken care up and noone could get contact of the girl's parents, he was given to a Church Orphanage. He was studied by the doctors and was humiliated with then tacking pictures of him as they saw his black markings spread across his body as he grew. The couldn't explain why the boy was growing into a mutant, but these features stopped when he turned 6. When he was 6 he ran away. He was picked up by a Mexican family who lived out in the boonies of New Mexico and was treated like a pet dog for a few years until he was rescued when the people tried to take him to the vet to get fixed. He was then given to a foster family. They had a son already, so Demion served as a brother.

Demion loved his new family, but couldn't stop himself from being mischievous. At 8 he started developing a sexual relationship with his step brother, getting his brother to do things that got the two of them in trouble. Demion would spy on his step mother while she was changing, and peek at girls changing. The troubling part about all of this is that Demion is doing it all out of childish curiosity. He would get upset when people assumed he was doing things on purpose or say he had bad blood. There is a good chance he'd still be as curious even if he wasn't the son of the devil, only difference would be that teachers wouldn't have their eyes stabbed out by crows or the school be flooded with shitting blood water when ever he got upset. Out of fear of being disowned by his family, Demion pressured his step brother to set the house on fire. Demion didn't intend to kill his family, as the two of them tried to wake up the parents, but as they all were escaping the roof collapsed on the family leaving Demion alone to weep and regret.

At age 11, Demion was soon passed on to a crazy religious woman who would beat Demion for just about anything. She was huge, fat, lazy and made Demion do all the work in the house. She made his go to church and would openly beat him for not singing or praying loud enough. Demion started puberty at 12 and was severely beaten for masturbating or even thinking about girls (heaven forbid he had interest in colored people or boys). While having fear struck deep into his heart, a small flame grew in his heart everyday and he protest in the best ways he could by being mean and freaky to the other kids at the catholic school. One night after having a wet dream, he was stuck with fear as he knew if he would get beaten for it. He tried to wash the stain out but the noise he made woke up the beast woman and she came in and started crushing his with her metal walking cane. When all seemed grim, dark forces rose from the depths of the earth and crushed the woman with their mighty grip. Demion was free, and he booked it back to Albuquerque to find his mother.

At 14 the boy was free from foster homes and now a street urchin. He found his mother in a coma at a hospital but couldn't find a way to keep her to himself. He stalked a woman who lived in a nice apartment in the boonies of town. He would beg her to help him everyday to the point where it drove her mad she ran through her second story window and killed herself on the fall. Demion sewed her back together and turned her into a Maid to take care of his mother, who he stole from the hospital. He stayed in the apartment and promised to behave and continue to go to school for his mother.
The series starts off with Demion in his Senior year in highschool, meeting a young girl named Rebecca Reaper. She is destined to be a Grim Reaper as she is somehow always lead to the death or rebirth of things around her. She becomes influenced by Demion's charm to free herself from her parents. Sad thing is that she had a pretty good life, spoiled and decent, but because of her her young school girl mind was easily manipulated by evil. She got herself put into an insane asylum only later to escape and join up with Demion in conquering the world.

Demion and Rebecca also met with Chris, who is the new Christ. He is just good. He fallows no religion, he passes no judgment even on Demion, and he has no hate. He has his faults as he usually is so neutral to the war of the end of the world that he'll let the demons take control before he decides to do anything about it. Plus he does get annoyed with people who are ignorant or expect him to do things he has no control over.

As Demion's senior year comes to an end he fails to graduate highschool as he feels that his teachers pass judgment on him before they even meet him and fail him because he won't amount to anything. His mother wakes up days into the summer as Demion is about ready to give up on himself. His mother is awake and there is much rejoicing and remembering between the two of them. Demion goes to get something from the store but quickly stopped to hear a huge crash from his house. He comes back inside to see his mother crushed under the refrigerator with only her head showing. She says her final words and dies.

I've thought well into Demion's future but that might be a whole other post as that part of the story fallows some pretty crazy end of the world stuff. Chris and Rebecca only have small parts in his senior year and Rebecca doesn't kill her parents until her senior year. The three of them team up with a Drag Queen named Sophie who's fallowing along as Demion's girlfriend (who is based off a drag queen I saw on a day time TV show who was both cute as a woman and a man). The three of them find out their fate and decide to stop Nero from destroying the world and becoming the next Satan. Demion also goes to heaven to see his mother and has kids as well.

Demion I feel could not become a TV show. I feel that I couldn't really demonstrate the character the same way with movement the same way I could in Comic Book form. He wasn't made to have a TV show so I don't feel like I could make him work the same way in any other medium then illustrated. His popularity for me was during my highschool years. I did all sorts of art and comics with him. I really want to work with him as a comic character but sadly I think he's too much like existing characters out there already. Now Demion to me is someone who comes up in my mind when I feel my worst. Every character represents some sort of feeling inside of me and Demion is usually me reverting back to my highschool angst mode. Plus now that I've developed so many more other characters I can see that he really is the EVIL of them all. He's ignorant, stubborn, spoiled, and manipulative. By comparison to the good characters I have he's really the worst just for the fact that he can twist your mind into thinking doing bad things are good. Still he is one sexy lust demon, and I love him to the end. I make my bad side look good.

This collection of Demion art isn't even the half of it. I tried to put as many as I could in here, but I think I covered the basics of the character for now.PLEASE PLESAE PLEASE, request more of this character if you're interested. If you want to hear more of the second half of his life I'll write that too. Thanks for reading this crazy long story.

Planet Claire

So Planet Claire's story is basically this song:
Download Unknown - Planet Claire

The idea started mostly by wanting to make a sexy alien chick who was as dumb as a brick. But still you ask, how can you make an interesting idea out of just the one song?...Well I'll tell you.

At 1st I was going to use the name as a clothing brand. Make weird ass alien cloths for girls and stuff. All cliche and some of it obscene. Had an idea for a t-shirt where there were two buttons right on the nipples with the words "Turn off" and "turn on" on the different buttons. The idea of the clothing line is still possible but I think if I wanted to main stream the idea, I'd focus more on making futuristic looking cloths like you see people in the 50's .

The TV show idea however started as a movie. As in the song, Claire comes from her Planet named Claire where everyone's name is Claire, and they all look the same. The planet has pink air, the trees are red, noone ever dies, and noone has a head. Basically noone needs a head, but there are no men there. Just pretty ladies. So Claires go across the universe searching for men to use as slaves. They seduce the men of the planet and then cut off their heads. The Claires only need heads because they need to talk, and men seem to like women who have heads.

Planet Claire is about this alien who comes to Earth to fulfill the mission all by herself; decapitate all the men of the planet and prepare them to be taken back by the mothership. She however is discovered by a nerdy boy who wants to keep her for himself, all the while he tries to keep her out of trouble. He learns of her plans and tries to get her to change her but all she wants to do is have sex and flirt. However she falls in love with the boy because he's giving her affection outside of typical lusting that she's used it. By the end of the movie the mothership has arrived and they shun Claire for not preparing the planet like they had assigned her to do.

The movie plot comes from seeing a cover to an anime called My Dear Marie. The anime, I've now learned, is completely different then from my 1st interpretations of just seeing the cover (but it's still about a nerdy guy who makes a learning robot for his perverted desires). Like most of these early highschool creations I us artistically influences by Invader Zim, I was trying to create a new cartoon that would replace the void that was left in my heart when the show was canceled. But I figure I never went much more into the idea because it's not a very creative idea.

There are a few problems with this show idea as it exists now. 1) It's named after a B-52 song. I need to afford the copyrights to use that song, let alone the name of it. 2) This show is RANCHY. The movie would be rated R for nudity and sexual themes. But as a Continuing series I figured the only way to really make this idea interesting is to REALLY go all out there with it. I want large throbbing cocks directly in front of the camera, titties and pussy in full detail, masturbation, drug use, spooning, needles in things that shouldn't be put into, beastiality, terrifying alien probings, and anything else nasty you can think of. When you come down to it the idea is a pretty standard anime plot, even with all the sex stuff. 3) And the character design for Claire is intentionally simple. She's not made to be thought of anything else but a Sex Symbol from Space. I dought the B-52's want their song associated with hyper ultra sex (Superjail couldn't afford Love Shack for 30 seconds). 4) I don't know of ANY place in the world that I could find willing to produce a Hyper Ultra Sex cartoon and want to pay me for it and get top notch quality.

BUT regardless of the conflicts I face, this is one idea that I've needed to expand upon. I've talked about her, and I have so many little pictures about her as well. She was due for an update. There are two characters that were not in the original concept of the show that I thought to add in. Stoner and Pot Head is a parody of Beavis and Butt-Head...You're reading that line and rolling your eyes, I know. At some point in my life I thought I could do something with them and they'd be able to hold their own. BUT they're not terrible characters or designs. So I figure I'd add them to THIS show to give them a new purpose.

So here is how the show plays now: Claire arrives to Earth and moves into a near-by college Frat. She immediately goes after the jockey boys and moves into the fraternity. Our Nerd hero and the two stoner kids question the motives of the creepy new girl, but only the nerd sees that she is alien. They find out what she's doing to all the men in the college, but she won't cut off their heads. Instead she wants to learn from them, by performing crazy experiments on their body and minds. She's sexually smart like Dr. Ruth, and so she teaches the nerd about getting the right girl, while he gives her human secrets. When the Mothership arrives to Earth, they take Claire away from the Nerd and replace her with different types of Claires, fat ones, child ones, Lesbian ones. The original Claire finds that she can't work the same without her Nerd, but the lead Claire just dismantles her for her noncooperation. The Nerd confronts the Mothership but gets decapitated in the process and turned into the lead Claire's slave. His friends (and human Girlfriend) try to save him but they get lost as the mothership travels through space.

Matilda and the Mortician

Matilda and the Mortician is as hard of a show to describe as it would be to pitch. It's about a young girl living in the late 1800's in Oakwood USA. She moved to the town when she was a baby but was always fascinated with her next door neighbor Geoffry, the town Mortician. When I say next door neighbor I mean that his was the closest house to hers. When she could walk she would wander to his workshop and ask him little kid questions like "Why does it smell in here? Do these objects have to be sharp? Why don't you have a wife? Does my hair look better when I hold it up like this? Why do I have to leave? Why did you lock the door?" She's a naturally curious girl who loves to be helpful and loves to make new friends. She often wonders why not many people get alone with Geoffry.

Geoffry has been a local to Oakwood for as young as 7 years of age. His father was a mortician who worked hard making revolutionary embalming techniques and high class coffins. The family got rich by associating with only the high class clients and promoting death with luxury. Geoffry would travel all over the world with his father pitching to those clients until he lost his father to tuberculosis, when he was 16. His mother died of the same illness when he was 4, so the family fortune was left to him. To regain his footing, he took the business back to Oakwood and continued pitching to high end clients but caters to the locals to pick up extra funds.

He invented a cooling storage system that allows bodies to be kept fresh longer, by locking them up in a brick chamber filled halfway with water, where a pump sucks out all the air and stops the body from decomposing (there is a more complicated science to this device that I think is possible for 1800 technology, but I need to do my research) . He created a patent for it and makes a lot of money selling the design out to other mortuaries across the country. He is a genius in his field but being surrounded by country bumpkins usually makes him as the odd man out.

He has a few other friends outside of Matilda, who is self appointed. A tombstone designer that has a similar history to Geff, but more complicated. She is an only child to another talented designer who was crushed to death suddenly by a big slab of motor. Because the father had no will, the lawyers had found a way to stop the family from owning the company after his death. He would need a son to pick up the company rights, so her mother staged an elaborate scheme to turn her daughter into a long lost son in order to keep the business. So now many years later, Geff is the only person who knows the long lost son is the daughter.

There is a local carpenter who is the picture of perfection. He's got huge mussels and a big bushy handlebar mustache. He helps Geff out with putting together coffins and making repairs to the workshop. Usually he's busy building house around the town and helping out the other locals, he's a bit clueless about life, often too trusting. Geff's accountant is always there to point out the good and bad about Geff's business and rarely helps out in the shop ( as the smells will make him gag). Bruno is the russian grave digger. Big, strong, and possibly brain damaged, Geff is the only person who can talk to him like a civilized person. Bruno is usually paranoid and superstitious about a lot of things, causing Matilda's imagination to run wild. Geff doesn't like leaving anyone alone with Bruno, he's not a trust worthy man.

The show idea was created during my highschool years when I was learning about the influenza outbreaks, and how kids would play among the coffins, singing cute little songs. The image of that it's quite how life is in general, how kids tend to make a game of everything even when adults will see something grim. Matilda sees Geff and wonders why people avoid him, he's just another person who needs more friends then anyone else. The show it's self is a mix of a few different ideas. Tenchi Muyo was a big influence as Geff was only pestered by two girls of the town. The mayors daughter, a nice homely girl who loves him for his mysterious ways, and a rich snobbish girl who wants Geff for his money.

The pivotal episode of the show would be about a fancy wedding in the 1880s of a rich and famous oil man. It was so extravagant that the weeding ceremony took on for 3 days. They bought up the whole block of a New York hotel and turned it into a gondola ride for guests to be brought into. There were elephants, swans, and all sorts of exotic animals and dancers to entertain guests (this is based off a real event, but the facts escape me). The nice guy that he is, Geff invited Matilda and her family to attend. Of course The Mayor's Daughter and the Snob girl were invited as well and the whole event it the two of them trying to win over Geff's heart.

While the show has this since of sqewy romance to it, it's also about superstitious events and creatures like witches, aliens, voodoo, and zombies. These are the elements to make the show odd and unique, but most of the show I've visualized as an educational and historical character piece. Because of these two conflicting elements I've been unsure about which network to pitch the show to. I could make it child friendly and make it more about Matilda's growing experience and the creepy people she meets, or I could make it more adult by focusing on Geoffry's morbid lifestyle. It's not a show ment to be on the edge action, rolling on the floor laughter, or dark and gory all the time. I feel that if I can pitch it to PBS, I could have it be a historical piece of fictional entertainment. Otherwise I can't really think of a network to pick it up.

You can also see just how visually different this show is from the rest of my cartoons. It was kinda blocky when I started drawing it but I've changed it to be more real then the other stuff I do. I still don't feel that I've mastered how I wanted it to look, because I want it to be very animeish, but not animated as stiff as usual animes can be. This show wouldn't need to last very long either because it has an ending.

The show has gone through some major changes since I 1st created it, but much like Toby's story I've never really gone too much into the deeper elements of the characters and plots. They're all in my head and I'd really like to know what you'd like to see more of. I've had a few people interesting in this idea even though I've never gone into a lot. Here is a great picture done of my characters for me by an artist on DeviantArt, idgiebay.
I thank her a lot for giving me this great piece of my characters.

Toby the Werewolf

Here is one of my early cartoon ideas that I developed in my highschool years. I was listening to David Lindley's - Werewolves in London while riding in the car one day and the idea of making a kid friendly tale of silly and cooky werewolves came to mind. I had already created a very dark and vulgar concept called Demion the Anti-Christ, so I wanted to do something that would be more kid oriented. The song it's self is very happy and chipper, but it talks about mutilation and greasy hair. This juxtaposition sums up Toby's whole developmental story. While my whole intention for Toby the Werewolf was to be a kids show, but it was always haunted with a darker undertone.

I was influenced by many different elements when creating Toby. Invader Zim still being the main focus of my highschool life, I wanting to make another character like Dib. Someone who was smarter then the rest of the school and wasn't able to get people to understand how he is the sole protector of their lives. Toby's personality has morphed away from Dib now, he's more based off people I remember from Highschool.

Spider-man had just come out that year so I named Toby after Toby Maguire. A more underlined theme of Spider-Man is the ability to control your hormonal changes and manage the things life throws at you without going crazy I was interested by how Peter Parker got super buff after being bitten and how he was still considered a geek after that. As the story of Peter Parker goes on you see how much he has to struggle keeping his cool and by the time Venom comes around, he's loses his grip on reality.

Toby has an evil power in him and if he doesn't keep it in check he'll loose control. The more I learned about werewolves the more I saw that I couldn't keep Toby as a kid's show. There is a deep fallowing of werewolves that says that they should be very dark and evil being. The act of transforming into an animal is not a pleasing or happy experience. Then things like the Underworld and Twilight universe throw a monkey wrench in the mix. Regardless of all that this is how Toby's universe works:

Werewolves can change with any moonlight but less so with less moonlight. So full moons they have to change, new moons they can't. Werewolves are damned when they taste human blood. As long as they don't bite humans, their souls are saved. Werewolves can be killed by silver, but not in human form. In human form the develop rashes and burns after touching silver. The attitude of someone's werewolf form depends on the type of person they are in real life. If they are a calm and normal person, then as a wolf they are wild and crazy. If they are a terrible and vicious human, they have more control over their wolf form. This however doesn't mean they are good wolves, but it means they have more conscious thought as wolves and some have human speak.

Toby is the right level of crazy human with good morals, that allows him to be able to control his wolf form and not hurt other people. As a kid he's pretty self centered and considered the smart boy that dumb jocks can ask him to do their homework and stuff. He's only got a few friends but he has little respect for them. He's a constant run-away, thinking that his life is much more worse then it really is.

One night, while attempting to run away from home he sees a dog stalking him. Soon that dog is chasing him down the street and attacking him. Not long after that he's transforming into a dog and running down the streets digging through garbage and chasing cats. A larger dog comes to him and informs him to meet him again on the next full moon. Toby passes out in a trash tank and sleeps until morning.

Toby wakes up to a large rattle and shake as the trash tank gets lifted up and tossed into a garbage truck pen. He yells and screams for help, out of fear of getting compacted into a cube. The garbage people take him to the police, where they immediately assume that he's on some sort of drug. He explains to the police and his mother what happened to him the night before but they can't make anything of it and let him go home.

Every month after that night Toby is forced to change on every full moon. He is greeted by a leader of the local pack, a every elegant wolf who wants to turn more people of the town into wolves but both Toby and Akila (the wolf that bit Toby) are too wild to be told what to do, and so the nights are usually waisted. Toby's human form becomes filled with bizarre supernatural events that are asking him for his help as a werewolf. He is stalked by a werewolf hunter, who send silver gifts his way. His body starts to change, giving him abnormal strength as a human and he soon becomes more popular.

His Jr. High crush begins to notice that he is getting buffer and asks him to date her one night...unfortunately the date is on a full moon. While for most of the night it stays overcast he is saved, but the moment the moon shows up he freaks out and runs off. She chaises after him but he kidnaps her and takes her to a junk yard to confess his problem. She thinks it's a joke but they are soon attacked by a crazy man. He shoots the girl and runs off. Conflicted, Toby spits on her wounds hoping that it'll trigger a transformation to save her life. While the girl is saved, she is forever cursed, just like he is. The next morning she breaks up with him, telling him that he is a terrible person. A few months down the road, she says that she needs his help to manage the problem, and they get back together again.

Toby's future involves a lot of darker stories and details. One big thing about this show is that his parents are devoiced. He has a half sister who gets killed during a turf war between wolf clans. As he learns that he can transform at any phase of the moon, he gets mixed up with a witch who taunts and tortures him to get him to submit to her wilms. She sets a spell for his parents to fall in love with each other again but they don't see Toby as their son.

Toby's story would go as far as into his highschool years. At that point he's confessed to his mother about his werewolfism and about the death of his sister. Because of the witch his Jr. High crush has either gone missing, dead, or they're no longer dating, so he finds interest in a vampire girl. The vampire hunter has become a friend, as he believes that Toby has become a better human being because of his werewolfism.

While Toby the Werewolf started out as a kid friendly show, The Little Werewolf, I soon see how much passion I have to go into the more psychological struggle of being a werewolf and teen-aged issues. There are so many shows that talk about kids who change into super heroes, but they're all directed for kids, and talk about stupid teen-aged issues like being grounded. Toby's lifestyle isn't about saving the world or making it to school on time. It's about managing your stress and your inner demons to keep your self from hurting the ones you love. Allow your feelings to be free and don't hide secrets.

Most of the drawings in this post are quite old. My lack of development of this character has all been mental and the complexity of his character makes me feel that I probably couldn't get this pitched as a TV show in America. I could get it in Japan or Canada as their standards are more flexable, but I feel in the end of the day Toby's story reads better as a book or a comic. My newest drawings at the top show a more updated look of him, but I really want to give the character a HUGE REDESIGNING in style. Either way this is a character I want to do more with and I love making adjustments to his story. If you have more questions please ask (tried to make this as short as I could XD).
